Students who wish to complete their mandatory or voluntary internships at public institutions must apply through the Kariyer Kapısı system during the application period announced as part of the National Internship Program. 3. Applying for an internship through Kariyer Kapısı and receiving employer approval does not guarantee that the internship will be accepted by your university. For your internship to be officially approved, the internship offer you received through the system must also be approved by your Departmental Internship Committee. 4. Students who do not apply through the Kariyer Kapısı system will not have their internship applications accepted, even if they have made independent arrangements with public institutions. 5. The above-mentioned rule does not apply to municipalities. Some municipalities offer internship positions through the Kariyer Kapısı system, while others may arrange internships through direct individual communication. Therefore, students may complete internships with municipalities—regardless of whether they applied through Kariyer Kapısı—provided that they receive approval from their Departmental Internship Committee. 6. Students who apply via Kariyer Kapısı, receive final approval from the employer, and also get approval from their Departmental Internship Committee must obtain an “Internship Acceptance Letter” from the employer. This letter must be submitted to the university’s relevant insurance office at least 10 days before the internship start date.
