The Central Anatolia Career Fair (İKAF’23) was held on May 4–5, 2023, in Eskişehir under the coordination of the Presidential Human Resources Office (CBİKO), and hosted by the Governorship of Eskişehir and Anadolu University. Supported by Bursa Technical University as one of the partner universities, the event brought together sector representatives and university students with contributions from 19 partner universities (Afyon Kocatepe, Afyonkarahisar University of Health Sciences, Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal, Bilecik Şeyh Edebali, Bursa Uludağ, Düzce, Eskişehir Osmangazi, Eskişehir Technical, Gebze Technical, Kocaeli University of Health and Technology, Kocaeli, Kütahya Dumlupınar, Kütahya University of Health Sciences, Mudanya, Sakarya, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Yalova, and Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Universities).

The BTU booth, set up by our university’s Career Center (BUKAGEM), received great attention from students. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Naci ÇAĞLAR, Rector’s Advisor Prof. Dr. Barış Tamer TONGUÇ, Anadolu University Career Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seda TEKELİ, and Bursa Uludağ University Career Center Director Dr. Lecturer Memet ZENCİRKIRAN visited the BTU booth. The BUKAGEM team, along with Prof. Dr. Barış Tamer TONGUÇ, also visited the booths of the companies that participated in the fair as Silver and Bronze Sponsors of our university, discussing potential collaborations for our students and alumni.

Approximately 10,000 students visited the booths of 118 public and private institutions/companies, gaining valuable information and participating in various activities such as interview simulations, company introduction sessions, career talks, resume evaluation sessions, workshops, and case studies.

İKAF’23 also offered enjoyable moments for participants through cultural and artistic events. The musical “Bizim Yunus”, organized by Anadolu University’s Folklore and Research Center, received high praise from the audience. As part of the fair, “Commitment: Aslı” directed by Semih Kaplanoğlu and “Flash Drive” by Derviş Zaim were screened at Cinema Anadolu. The contemporary dance performance “Göbeklitepe: The Meeting of Civilizations, The Birth of Humanity”, presented by Kocaeli University’s Contemporary Dance Community, was also well-received by the audience.

With its successful blend of career, culture, and art events, İKAF’23 received full marks from company representatives, students, alumni, and all stakeholders.
